Preserving Wilmington’s Quality of Life

Starts With You

Our goal is to work together to preserve and protect Wilmington’s community, culture, and quality of life.

Wilmington, New York, is a small town in the heart of the Adirondacks that has attracted many visitors for over a century. Wilmington is the home of mountain streams, the AuSable River, protected wilderness, and natural beauty. Although Wilmington has many advantages, like many other small towns it is facing serious challenges. Those challenges include a severe shortage of middle-income housing and ballooning property assessments. These problems are due, in part, to the proliferation of short term rentals. The Wilmington Preservation Society is an informal group of community members who are working together to solve the biggest issues facing our community.
